Envision is a for-profit, physical Genshin Impact fanzine celebrating the relationship between Retuo Longwang (Azhdaha) and Zhongli (Morax).Specs

Applications

General Guidelines
- All applicants must be 18+ as this zine contains an NSFW section.
- Your portfolio should include 3-10 samples of your best work in the style you plan to do for the zine.
- A sample containing either Zhongli or Retuo is recommended but not compulsory.
- At least one (1) sample should be Genshin.
- All content in apps must be appropriately tagged (e.g. NSFW, gore, horror, character death, torture, trigger warnings, etc.). Apps containing untagged content will be disqualified.
- Please ensure all links e.g. Google Drive are accessible. We recommend you check all links in incognito mode before submission.
- Please note that we are unable to accept content creators with a history of plagiarism, art tracing, design/concept theft (including graphics), sale of work not belonging to you (e.g. personal commissions or other zines without permission), refusal to adhere to zine policy (e.g. by posting/selling own zine work before shipping is complete), or harassment.Artist Guidelines
Expectations: 1 page, 1 spread, or 1 two-page comic.
- Portfolio of 3-10 complete, fully-rendered illustrations. Comics may be black/white.
- At least one (1) sample should contain a full background (i.e. no solid color/simple gradient).
- Portfolio will be judged on anatomy, composition, and storytelling. Art style is not a factor.Merch Artist Guidelines
Expectations: 2-3 pieces of merch art.
- Portfolio of 5-10 samples, containing the merch type(s) you plan to do for the zine.
- At least one (1) sample should contain chibi art.
- Portfolio will be judged on composition, pose, and convertibility into merch product. Prior merch experience will help but is not a factor.Writer Guidelines
Expectations: 1 fic of 2.5-3k words.
- Portfolio of 3-10 fics with total word count < 12k (hard limit).
- All fics should be around 1.5k-3.5k words (soft limit).
- At least one (1) sample must be complete.
- At least one (1) sample must be set within Genshin canon.
- Portfolio will be judged on SPaG, pacing, and the ability to tell a story within a restricted word count. Writing style is not a factor.

What is a fanzine?
A fanzine is a compilation of derivative fanworks made by content creators. For this zine, we are aiming to include both fanfics and fanart, as well as produce physical and digital merch.Is this legal?
Yes! miHoYo's fanmerch guidelines permits the creation and sale of unofficial fanwork products such as zines. Several of our mods, including the Head Mod, are Genshin content creators.Will there be spoilers for the latest game content?
Yes, but only spoilers from official sources. Please note that as per miHoYo rules, leaked content is not permitted.Can I apply for multiple positions?
Yes, please fill in the respective application forms. You may be accepted for multiple positions, if you are agreeable to fulfil the expectations of them all.Is traditional art acceptable?
Yes, please scan in 300 dpi resolution or higher.What is the main mode of contact?
All applicants will receive an email to inform them of the outcome of their application. All accepted contributors are required to join the Discord server for announcements.Do I have to create a new fanwork for the zine?
Yes, all accepted contributors will first submit a pitch, and then they must create a new fanwork after the pitch is approved.How will contributors be compensated?
Compensation will be provided in stages. All contributors are guaranteed a digital PDF of the zine, and then if sales permit, a physical copy of the zine (shipping included), and finally a full bundle. Any profits left over will be split evenly amongst the mods and contributors.Can I sell/post my piece after the zine is over?
All contributors retain all rights to their respective fanworks. Contributors may only share, post, sell, etc. their fanwork AFTER shipping is complete. Posting, streaming, or otherwise sharing your fanwork before the zine is complete will cause your entry to be removed.I have a question that isn't answered!

基本要求

疑问解答

参与者会得到什么回馈？
所有参与者将会收到一份电子版合志。
若利润不够，所有参与者可以以生产成本价购买实体合志和周边。
若利润准许，我们希望可以为每一位参与者发送一本实体合志和一套周边。
所有参与者们将平分任何剩余的利润。此小志有什么内容限制吗？
由于法律问题，实体合志必须是非成人向、非黑暗向。谢绝含裸体、毒品、醉酒、过度暴力等内容。
电子版将会有 R18 内容。
没有主题限制：原著向，原著私设向，或 AU/paro 都欢迎。可以同时申请多个位置吗？
可以，但最终录取的话，你有可能只能获得一个位置。我们会在电邮里通知你是以哪个位置录取的。可以用水彩等绘图吗，还是必须用电子软件？
只要能以 300 dpi 高清扫描就行！如被录取，将如何沟通？
我们会以电邮通知所有申请者，无论有没有被录取。
所有参与者必须加入我们的 Discord ，或另外与管理团商量（推特、QQ等）。必须为此合志做一份新的作品吗？
是的呢，所有作品必须是新创的，而不是以前发过的图或文。合志结束后可以发自己的图或文吗？
